Sword stolen in burglary

Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at a house in Corbridge.

It happened at an address in Prospect Hill in Corbridge between 8.30am and 6.51pm on Saturday, April 29.

Offenders forced entry and stole a Derk Sword (pictured) with initials engraved on it and a long Service Medal.

Police are appealing for witnesses, anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, is asked to contact them. They also want to hear from anyone who may be offered these stolen items for sale.

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting reference number 048398B/17 or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
