Who can apply?

Community Opportunity Campaign - 580 x 120 internet banner

Any member of the public can apply to take part, members of the public who apply are screened by checking various personal details such as proof of address.

Having an offence on record will not automatically exclude a member of the public from taking part and each application will be treated on a case by case basis. However, there must be a genuine purpose for the application.

There is no set timeline for the application process, it will depend on the individual circumstances and nature of the concern as to how long it will take.  However, we will try to ensure applicants are kept up to date as to the progress. It is important to note that not all applications will be successful and not all policing activities will be suitable for participation in 'Community Opportunity'.
