CCTV appeal after burglary in Newcastle

Police have released images of two men they would like to speak to about a burglary in Newcastle.

Between 6pm and 7.30pm on Thursday, February 2, police received a report that intruders had entered an address in South View in East Denton.

CCTV images show the men attempting to enter at the back door before being stopped in their tracks by two dogs.

They then climbed onto a neighbouring garage to gain entry by smashing a window at the rear of the property.

Once inside the property the men searched the house and made off with a quantity of cash and a mobile phone.

The family who live in the house were not present at the time of the incident but the burglary has left them incredibly shaken.

Enquiries to locate the two men responsbile are ongoing and officers have now released images of two people they need to identify as part of the investigation.

Although their faces are not clearly visible it is hoped their clothing and build may be recognisable to somebody who knows them.
