Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')

Thank you for your e mail dated 19 October 2016 in which you made a request for access to certain information which may be held by Northumbria Police. 

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked:

Speed Camera 117 A197 Pegswood Village, Northumberland

For the period March 2016 until end of September 2016:     

1. What percentage of the time was the camera active?

2. How many offenders triggered the camera?

3. How many of the above were eventually convicted of speeding?

4. Of the rest, what official action was taken?

5. Please split this information into monthly figures over the period.

 

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention. 

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with both the Fixed Penalty and Camera Enforcement Units  of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held in part by Northumbria Police.

I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows.

14 activations processed by the FPU of which 5 have attended a course, 5 have paid the fine and had 3 pts endorsed on their licence, 3 have gone to court (not dealt with as yet)  1 one was cancelled
