Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')(FOIA)

Thank you for your email dated 10 February 2012 in which you made a request for access to certain information which may be held by Northumbria Police.

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked: 

  1. Please can you provide the official name of your computer forensic department?  See Note 01

  2. Can you please provide an organisational chart of the department up to senior management?  YES/NO  See Note 02

  3. Please indicate the main software used within the department for computer forensic examination.  See Note 03

  4. Please indicate any supporting software used for back office type functions?  See Note 04

  5. Please indicate how many physical locations the department may be spread over.  See Note 05
