Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')(FOIA)

Thank you for your email dated 10 January 2013 in which you made a request for access to certain information which may be held by Northumbria Police.

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked: 

I would be grateful if you would send me the following information in relation to your HR and Payroll solution! service (if you use different solutions! providers for HR and Payroll please provide details  of both). The information we are seeking is regarding the systems used by both payroll and the HR departments. 

  1. The name of your current HR/Payroll software solution and provider. If this is outsourced please provide the name of your outsourcing provider. 

  2. The date that the contract was signed with your HR/Payroll provider.

  3. The length of the current contract term for both HR and Payroll.

  4. The date that the HR and Payroll contracts are due to be renewed.

  5. The current annual maintenance charges for your HR/Payroll solution.

  6. The original contract value of your HR/ Payroll solution.

In response:

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.

Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Finance and HR Departments of Northumbria Police.  I can confirm that the information you have requested is held in part by Northumbria Police.

I have today decided to disclose the located information to you as follows.

Northumbria Police currently use a payroll system which is procured and managed by Gateshead Council You may wish to direct that part of your request to them.
The information given below therefore is for HR systems only.
