Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')
Thank you for your e mail dated 26 May 2016 in which you made a request for access to certain information which may be held by Northumbria Police.
As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held at the time of a request, by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.
1.Please could you provide the number of cautions/arrests/prosecutions (separate statistic for each) for making/producing/distributing indecent images of children (under section 1 of the Protection of Children Act 1978/home office crime code 86/1) where the offender(s) are under the age of 18 for the years 2010-2015, broken down per year.
2.Please could you provide the number of cautions/arrests/prosecutions (separate statistic for each) for making/producing/distributing indecent images of children (under section 1 of the Protection of Children Act 1978/home office crime code 86/1) where the offender(s) are between the ages of 18 and 24 for the years 2010-2015, broken down per year.

The information in this response is based on the number of arrests made for the following offence codes 086/15 and 086/10 and from those arrest how many charges or cautions were then given.
