 Provision of information held by Northumbria Police made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 'Act')(FOIA)

Thank you for your email dated  28 May 2015 in which you made a request for access to certain information which may be held by Northumbria Police.

As you may be aware the purpose of the Act is to allow a general right of access to information held by a Public Authority (including the Police), subject to certain limitations and exemptions.

You asked: 

 I would like to know how many times police have been called out to schools in relation to reports of fraud.
"1) Please can you include the number of times an allegation of fraud has been reported to police from a school/ on school premises in the last three financial years. (2014-15, 2013-14, 2012-13). Please lay out in a table.
2) In a separate table, for each instance of reported fraud please include a description of what te alleged fraud was (to also include the monetary value of the alleged fraud).
3) To be included in table 2, next to each entry please also include the outcome of that reported fraud."  

In response:

We have now had the opportunity to fully consider your request and I provide a response for your attention.

 Following receipt of your request, searches were conducted with the Corporate Development Department of Northumbria Police. I can confirm that the information you have requested is held by Northumbria Police.

I am able to disclose the located information to you as follows.
Please note, the information requested has been presented in a way which avoids the use of exemption being applied to withhold. 
Ongoing cases have been excluded.
The data is based on incidents with a premise type of 'school' where an allegationof  'fraud' has been mentioned in the opening lines of the incident.
'School' will include various types including primary,middle,high,special needs,secure school units and pre-school private nurseries.
With the above in mind please see below attached which answers your query.
