Human Resources department
Human Resources ensures all officers, staff and Special Constables are supported in their roles and able to deliver an effective service to our communities.
The department offers HR advice and guidance to officers, staff and management as well as delivering health and well-being services. HR is also responsible for offering training and development to assist officers and staff realise their potential and to ensure that workforce requirements are met.
The department's remit also includes Change; the team assists in the delivery of change projects, workforce planning and seeks out collaborative opportunities. Additionally HR oversees our volunteer programmes (this includes Special Constables, Cadets, Police Support Volunteers and working with external volunteer organisations which support Northumbria Police).
